It was still raining when we rose this morning, and continued on during the morning while we popped into town to buy fresh bread for our luncheon. The camp rabbit was unperturbed by the rain thus proving that rabbits are more efficient ground keepers than humans and mechanical lawn mowers, neither of which enjoys getting wet.
I hoped against hope that the day would clear by
midday and the rain head away, preferably south. By the time Patsy and Ivan turned
up, the skies had brightened enough to encourage us to eat al fresco, however after a couple of hours when lunch was well
digested, our feet were starting to freeze and we moved into the relative
warmth of the caravan to spent the rest of the afternoon conversing like only
long separated friends can. By the time we walked our guests to the gate, the
kookaburras were noisily greeting the falling night and it was time to think
about food one more time.
