7 August 2011 - Cairns Sunland Leisure Park, Queensland

So I am just sitting here under the awning in the relative warmth, wearing a skirt, light top and barefeet. There has been no rain for about two hours so perhaps the washing hanging under cover here with me, will dry after all. Chris is sitting in the cruiser studying the manual for the UHF radio, fine tuning details in readiness for use in the days ahead. As every day here in this lovely caravan park, the birds are noisy all around us, but rarely seen in the palms and gums. Large green ants persist in climbing over the table and then me, but seem quite harmless when I either squash them or brush them off.

This morning we went out shopping for a few more last bits and hopefully will now be all organised but for a grocery shop in Mareeba where we will spend the last three nights before heading off to Lakeland where we will leave the caravan.
